Drain on battery

Recommended Posts

Morning all

I recently (few days ago) bought a 4 series 420i M sport (2015). the dealer told me that he had replaced the battery (100amp).

One morning I tried to open the car with the remote, alarm deactivated, then went off. After the alarm went off I tried to start the car and there was no power, like no lights on the dashboard. I called the AA, who tested the battery and charged it. Then the AA guy tested it and said that there was a 16amp(?) drain on the battery and after locking this will still continue and the battery will die again. after that not much help and he took off.

My question is, how do I resolve this? How do I find the drain and fix or prevent it?

Thanks for any help guys.

M.
