335 intercooler pipe

Posting here to compare notes...I own a 2014 335 X drive with only 45 K miles and within the last month, I had to replace a defective ABS module which locked my rear brakes and replace the rear rotors and pads as a consequence. Last week, on the HWY after running thru gears, the car ran like hell, after stopping, I noticed the intercooler pipe popped out and broke at the collar to the engine block. My mechanic told me that the OEM part cost $ 432.00 for a lousy plastic pipe !  Unreal.  Did anybody experience similar problems ?
