Newbie query and Intro. EfficientDynamics or not??

Hello. My name is Paul and I’m in Cumbria. Just bought a 320D and have a query. I don’t think it’s the EfficientDynamics model, however, there’s a sticker on the back window that’s obviously been there since new which states EfficientDynamics. I’ve looked online and I believe my co2 emissions at 128G/KM mean it’s not. Can anyone clarify? Thanks from sunny Cumbria. P.s it’s my first BMW so it may be they stick window decals on to advertise their other products?!

Morning Paul

Welcome to the Forum

I am not certain but I thought Efficient Dynamics models were introduced around 2008 on the 1 series not sure for the 3 series, 128g/km is the Efficient Dynamics 2.0d CO2 figure though

As far as I recall cars with efficient dynamic packs have, Stop Start, Brake Regeneration, Air Vent Control, Electric Power Steering

Take a look at BMW Vin Decoder it should pull up your build sheet if any of these are missing I guess it isn't Efficient Dynamics

Personally I don't like stickers anywhere as often they are just Advertising for the supplying dealer who probably hasn't seen the car for many years so I remove them

Good Luck and Enjoy your new car

Dave

Thanks Dave. Very confusing but makes sense now. It’s 177bhp so assuming it is in fact the EfficientDynamics model. Also cheaper road tax at £125 for the year. Bonus.
