I currently run a E46 330.
I absolutely love the deep sound and the silkiness

I also bought a second car which is diesel and was thinking of selling the 330 to be sensible.

However i have now decided to sell the 330 and maybe get a E92 petrol but with something with great engine sound.

Do the e92 6cyclinder sound similar and silky?

Can someone point me to which engine produces similar sound to the e46 330?

I just got a e92 335i,it's a real nice ride nothing like the e46 m3, I find the e92 don't sound as meaty as the e46 range but sound better at higher revs,.,.,they are much smother!

I prefer low to mid range punch. High revs i find unusable on normal roads and the 330 is i find quite high reving before nay real power comes in.

Yeah im looking for that deep meaty roar combined with the smoothness.
