Hi guys

I have 120d ,2005 reg,and i hear i strange noise when turning all the way to the left or right ,when i turn right i think i hear on the left side and i turn left i think i hear it on the right side,it s like a banging noise,like bum bum 😁

Any idea what could be?

I ve took the front weels off and all the components look all right to me nothing broken or loose

have you put bigger aftermarket wheels on the car?

Didn t change the wheels

I ve had a chat with mechanic and he said it my be the steering rack

Did he check CV joints? Usually a sign when you get knocking sound

He didn t check them,we just went for a drive,i m thinking that he said it can the steering cause you hear the banging when i m in full turn left or right,cause when i turn right i hear it in the left side of the car and the other way around
