Hi new member here.

Now on my 5th BMW but this time the 2010 3 series cabriolet. Not sure if I have a problem with the car. When I retract the hard top the first thing that happens is all the side windows go down, when the hard top has fully retracted i cannot get the windows to rise up when lifting the large button on the door rest. My better half says that it is to windy with the windows down so is there a way to raise the side windows. I do have the wind deflector fitted to rear of the front seats.

I cant find any one having experienced this. There must be a sensor not picking up the fact that the roof is fully down. Have you tried opening the roof with the remote. If you have the facility you should be able to make the windows go up just by continuing to hold the remote for a few seconds after the roof has fully opened.

Thanks for your reply. The problem seems to have sorted itself out, I have just tried retracting the roof again and I can now also close the windows with the roof retracted. So I don't know what has happened this time but all seems well.
