Hi Guys Hope you can help me well my daughter actually she could not open her car this morning with the usual key fob so she has had to use the spare key, my thoughts are that the battery has gone in the first fob, now my question is can I change the battery or do I have to take the car to the local BMW dealer for them to replace and re-code ?

The car is a 57 plate mini 1 ME32 with the LARGE round three button key

Many Thanks in anticipation

Alan

Hi Bt Yes I have had a look at that vid thanks for that but the key I have does not come a part like that, I have since spoken to BMW my self and it would appear that the battery in this fob is charged up when you put the fob in the car and the battery cannot be replaced on its own, and its a dealer only part hence the price of £140 wow just hope the spare last until my daughter has had her holiday.

Once again thank you for you help.
