Bmw 318 I Se Warning Light

Hi, I have just bought my very first BMW, a 2001 318i SE and I must say I am delighted with it. On Saturday I fitted my Grandaughters child seat on the nearside rear seat as per instructions. However I have now noticed that the Airbag warning light is now on. Reading the handbook it refers to a seat belt tensioner problem. Have I accidently triggered something ? Certainly there has been no load placed on the seat belts and the light was not on prior to fitting.

Also there is no spare wheel with the car. Is this a thin emergency type wheel/tyre and if so can anyone advise me as to the best place to buy one. Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.
