Alloys Blistering

Just had my first BMW yesterday a March 2013 3 series and due to a poor valet prior to collection I decided to clean the wheels myself today. That's when I noticed I had failed to see that the wheels were blistered and peeling beneath all the brake dust and grime. I have bought the car from a BMW dealer and intend to find out tomorrow where I stand in getting the repair done under warranty - and if covered. Has anyone else had problems with theirs and was it resolved also any tips on how to approach the matter???

Will not be covered under warranty, Brian, but 2 year old alloys suffering tarnishing is unacceptable, and you should kick off big time. Ask the Dealer to get them refurbished under "Goodwill", if they refuse tell them you will be contacting BMW directly and also mentioning the very poor state the car was handed over to you in. They won't like that, because BMW do take complaints about their Dealerships very seriously.

Thanks for that I will use that when they try to fob me off as I have not been able to get a response from the dealership as their used car manager is on holiday until Monday! and no decision will be made until he gives the 'ok' or not. I will post the decision when I get one

Update on the Alloys - A good result the dealership had a look on the wheels and decided to replace all 4 under warranty for new ones and I had no issues with them trying to wriggle out of the problem. I am now waiting for the replacement and getting another valet at the same time :)
