£3-4K Budget For Bmw 318 ... Or Something Else

Hey,

I have a Y Reg Ford Focus at present, good car however it is getting close to the end I think and I want to get a new one.

Only have up to £4k budget and like the look of the older style BMW 3 series, with 4 doors.

My requirements are:

- 4 doors

- Petrol I think is best but open to suggestions

- Would prefer leather interior

- I like the idea of cruise control if possible

- I notice most cars seem to have cassette tape - not CD - is that standard for the older ones?

- reliability is important

- no more than 70'000 miles ideally

- Looking mainly at 318 but open to other suggestions as I'm starting to look and don't know much

Are the 318's reliable cars? I know there is a bit of a gamble with older ones but just generally speaking I mean.

Any other advice when looking?
