E60 Door Mirror Glass Actuator Removal - Front Door Trim Removal

Hi all,

I have 2 issues.

1. I need guidance to remove the door mirror glass tilting motor-actuator. Mirror
glass lens and painted ABS cover had been successfully removed.
Motor-actuator rear electric connector with the three retaining wings had
also been removed. But the motor-actuator seems somehow tightly fixed and seems
that it is retained by some other things or process.

2. I also need guidance to remove the e60 front door trim from the door frame. One
screw covered with plastic cap towards/near vehicle frame, had been
removed. Another screw behind the airbag badge cover also removed. Trim
retaining plastic plugs detached. Trim removal is obstructed by tweeter
cover. Any hints / guidance to safely remove the trim welcomed.

Thanks beforehand.

Sorry I missed this... There are YouTube vids on this ;)

Thanks. I have been able to sort the two problems. enjoy your day. Regards.

I am actually facing another issue. Maybe you have some knowledge on it and might be of help. Hereunder is the description.

Hi, I am looking for a replacement of left door

mirror. My mirror is a basic pre LCI model (2006), heated, with puddle lamp and

aspheric lens glass with the line.

My mirror has 3 wires only to the 4 pin plug (Red,

green and brown-last one is blank) whereas those found on ebay are mainly M

sport models with 4 wires to the 4 pin plug (green, brown, red and white) or

other plug types. My lens heating is 2 separate wires.

  1. Can the M sport mirror be fitted directly to my vehicle?
  2. Will any programming be needed is the M sport mirror is fitted?
  3. Can I replace one side with the M sport model and leave the other side with the
  4. old pre LCI one? (at this point of time, I just forget about the gloss /

matt support ring & the puddle lamp)

  5. Will the M sport mirror work on my pre LCI if the correct wiring colours are moved to the correct pin position and leaving the white wire out of the connection?

Thanks beforehand for your help.
