My first proper post,i'm loving my x5 3.0 diesel cracking motor and it seems to be quite economical

as ive done 320 miles on this first tank of fuel and its still showing 365 miles range and over half a tank of fuel is this normal or good

the only thing i dont like is when i stop at the lights it sometimes seems to lurch a bit as it drops into 1st gear is this normal or something to worry about,so i knock it into neutral just before i stop,it doesn't do it if i brake a bit more firmly but it is a bit annoying now, sorry for the questions so early its only my second post am i just worrying over nothing

Hi Dave am new here also but can maybe help with an answer.

It sounds like you just got your X5 so its still understanding its new owner and the gearbox is still learning your driving style, mine was the same for around a 1000 miles but got a lot smoother after that, if it still continues to do so then maybe a software update would help.
