Hi bought my first BMW about 15 months ago, I love it.

But is there anyone out there who's got a rear diff for one?, it decided to let go on Thursday night, nightmare managed to get it home though luckily.

    can I ask what is the problem with the differential ?

    you can have a glance at ebay but rarely they appear for an X5 model. I think I saw one on net off a 3.0d model .

    Hi Mr. Beemer yes mate it's chewed its self up I think one of the pins has come loose or it's nipped a tooth, there's a few diffs on eBay but 3.91 rear diffs are pretty rare now as they're either prown for going or it could be that some people put them in they're cars to get better fuel figures
