e46 compact water in the boot, its under where the disc changer sits , if you remove the trim around this unit the floor section of the boot is soaking plus I can see the ground its like there is a missing rubber bung?

I have sealed the light today but its now -issing down so will check again in the morning would like to know about the missing bung plus what's the filter thing against the inner wing

thanks

Samantha

Could be a perished seal around the boot opening but, as you can see the ground when inspecting the boot, there is indeed most likely a missing... "Thing"

I don't own your car, nor have I ever owned an E46 but, I know what I would do with a hole like that. Get Mr.Welder out! hahaha

Hopefully someone with a similar car on here can check there own and compare?

Keep me posted if no one can help

Daz

has it been damaged on that rear section ?

like Daz said, perished worn boot seal seems the likely culprit'

you could slot a tiny hole in the trunk if there is no rubber bung so the added water streams out & stops collecting -

Does it have a sunroof?

It should have a "Drain" hole/plug at the boots' lowest point, so don't completely shut anything off completely !!

I have changed the boot seal, it looks like there is a rubber bung missing from the underside of the car I have covered this with a hard plastic and araldite it into place
