guys my compact has the battery in the boot it has the normal connectors to the battery but there is one other long silver tube like connector looks like it should fit one the positive but cant see how

any links or pics to this please?

kind regards

Samantha

I think I have seen something like on some beemers but cant recall correctly what it actually is.

if you can hit up a pic it could help us, would like to know what it is. some water pipe may be so if any wont collect there. not sure ?

Yeah, Picture pleeeeez ;)

seems ok to me there. mines the same on the e90. battery in the boot with a long connecter & loads of wires etc coming off it as it has to power all the extras the car has come with..

you got a black wire coming off which powers something. its got to sit at angle on the positive terminal. I think it pulls up on the end aswell.

you could try & see what it powers though, could leave it off in the end -

other posters may help input on this -

I need to know where this is supposed to be connected to its not there for no reason

thanks

seems like an earth terminal where someone has messed about with before when changing your battery.

I am assuming you got both terminals connected to your battery.

where is the black wire of the pictured terminal going to ?

battery terminal connection with airbag isolator unit.

guess you got it!

are you going to replace the terminal or attach the air bag wire isolator to the other.

wonder why it was off, unless 1 of the airbags faulty or something. connect & find out -

don't know how this connects as there isn't room on the battery post

use the wire, not the terminal-
