Hi Guys .Couldn't believe it till i saw the old fuel filter .I'v got a 1996 2.8 E39 which i'v had for the last ten years .Still got only 90k miles I got a good mechanic friend of mine to do a full service on this car for me and although the car has been serviced over the last ten years by different mechanics and myself in between doing oil changes i was surprised to see that the car had the original fuel filter that was fitted to the car at manufacture .I have never have had any problems regarding the original filter ..Got to say i'm impressed that a fuel filter could last for 17 years .They certainly made them to last .

HA ! I have a 30 yr old BEER filter... Beat that !! :P
