James it's only the 1.8 petrol I am very surprised with the power when you get the revs up.

I think even the 118i is a 2.0 engine, anyway its better to have a smaller engine rear wheel drive car with 50/50 weight distribution than a 3.0 front wheel drive car :)

what are those 1 series like to drive? i always liked the look of them i just dont think its big enough for my tribe to get in

A mate of mine has the 123d coupe and Ive been a back seat passenger a couple of times, im only 5'7 though but was comfy enough.

It's great to drive just can't fault it, me the wife and our 2 girls can go for a drive plenty of room, and on my own its quick and hold very well on the road.
