i have just looked on www.etk.cc (thanks for the link) and it seems to be an Activated Charcoal Filter with vent pipe, i know on my Nissan Skyline R33 we could remove the charcoal filter but not sure if ths is possible on the BMW? Has anyone removed this or moved it somewhere else? Thanks David -
thanks for the welcome she is a wee stunner, i just done a full service on her inc fuel filter and found a broken pipe so she now runs 100x better :)

Hi Im new to the forum and to BMWs and I'm wanting a custom stainless exhaust but was wondering what this is at the rear on drivers side? can it me removed? its because if it wasn't there there would be more room to run a twin exit exhaust 1 either side. thanks for any help Davie

Hi Guys/Girls Im Davie from just outside Penicuik near Edinburgh, I have just recently bought a 2003 318 Ci, new to BMWs as Im a Jap car guy used to Nissan Skylines so a bit of a change for me. Thought I'd come and say hello as I will be looking for help once I work out what I want to do to it, I would of liked a 330 but got this for a bargain so couldn't let it slip by as its in great condition.
