Nice to be informed that the newest 2014.9 BMW ICOM ISTA-D 3.44.50 ISTA-P 53.4.002 Software HDD has released which benifits ICOM owners, me included. Placed an ordered of the newest software HDD(large 500GB storage), came with the bonus engineer programming software. Tested no problem on Lenovo ThinkPad X230 with diagnostic, programming and TIS diagram circuit. Beside, it can recognize BMW VIN number produced in Apr. 2014.

After well connected BMW icom with laptop and entered password, am facing blue screen. Tried again on Thinkpad T430 and Dell D360 but no luck to solve the problem. What the cause and how to fix it :(?

Since I had an intermittent DSC light on my car I bought the C110 V3.6 Code Reader for X5. The tool is well built with a sturdy cable, solid OBDII connector, an easy to read display and has a nice protective carrying case. The price was less than just one trip to the local mechanic shop to have the codes read. So far it helped me successfully clear trouble codes, displays live data stream, component testing...I am still working on it.
