  1. Thanks for your reply, so I assume you had no problems with burnt out valve seats etc with the extra heat produced from using LPG? The £40 it cost you to fill up with LPG will now cost you nearer to £60, as I noticed today the price of LPG has hit an all time high of £1 a litre and more than doubled in price over the last year or two? So unless you are doing a high annual mileage, it can't be worth paying for the conversion, I may as well pay the extra 28 pence per litre for unleaded, unless I buy one already converted.?
  2. i currently have my first X5 which is the 3 litre petrol sport and really enjoying it, but really wanted the growl and power of the V8, but could not find one at the time. I am thinking of part exing for a V8 LPG 4.4, but have heard some nasty stories about LPG conversions, with the valves getting that much hotter than petrol and causing damage to the valve seats etc? Do any members here have an LPG X5 now or any time in the past, as I would like to hear your comments about the reliability and performance of these? Thanks Steve
  3. Hi, Thanks for your reply, can you please advise how to remove/replace the sensors on an X5? Steve
  4. I did post this topic last week but my PDS is not working. When I put the auto box into reverse it beeps for a short while then nothing. When I put into drive and I am close to an object at the front nothing again. Now, I was advised to test the 4 sensors by putting into gear to see if they make a clicking noise and they ALL do, so I assume the problem is not the sensors? If that is the case, what else can it be?? Steve
  5. I bought my first X5 last week and just having a few teething problems with certain niggly things not working.Mine has a Rosen DVD Player in the ceiling but it will not work. The power comes on and the screen lights up, but it will not play any discs. I have tried a cleaner to get rid of any static or dirt but it still make no difference. When I push in the disc (I have tried 3 discs), the unit just pushes the disc back out and although the disc goes back in automatically it keeps pushing the discs back out. I have emailed Rosens tech dept but I think they are in the States and their website says to find a local dealer, but there appears to be none in the UK. Can anyone assist please? Thanks Steve
  6. Hi. Thanks for both of your replies. I picked up my first X5 yesterday and it runs like a dream. Although I have owned numerous 3 & 5 series in the 1980's & 90's and more recently Landrovers and just got rid of a Jeep Grand Cherekee in part ex for my X5, this machine is awesome with the 19 inch alloys. The rear sensors appear to be working but not the front, for some reason? Perhaps I am better buying a new set on EBay. are they easy to fit, if so, hoe do I go about it? Also, can anyone let me know what the hug box is for in the middle of the interior ceiling? It look like a DVD/TV system but there are no screens in the headrests, but I have found a ROSEN remote control, which belong to it. Any ideas please? Thanks Steve
  7. I am about to buy my first X5 this week and there appears to be a problem with the parking sensors not working. Can anyone tell me how many sensors there are front and rear assuming they are fitted in the first place? Thanks
