Any ideas about what the impact will be on a 320ED if it fitted with 18inch 193 alloys?

I am assuming much harder ride, but any insights about fuel consumption would be welcome

I've owned a couple of 320Ds and currently drive 520D. I am looking to downsize to three yr old E90 but not sure whether to get 320 efficient dynamics or 318D.

Although ED looks better on paper I am concerned that high gearing blunts performance.

Most of my (high) mileage is motorway driving.

Any advice welcome
