  1. some advice on a space saver for our 2007 3 series M-Sport please :) The one we are looking at on Ebay has the details 115/90/16 (300Bx16H2,IS32).

Our tyre has the details 255/35ZR18 on the side. I'm assuming the 16 and 18 are the alloy wheel size so important or not?? :wacko:The auction advertises for most E90 models so isn't totally committal for a noob like me.

    1000 thanks in advance,

    John. :)

  2. Meh !Removed! brake and clutch pedals are too big  Top holes should be ok but the bottom two sit in fresh air *sigh*. Gonna have a cuppa and see if i can think of a fix (whistles for ideas  ).

Since learn't there is a 3 hole option (pretty pricey mind you) which would be better for anyone planning on doing this mod. -_- Me in my usual haste now has a headache to overcome.

  3. I have a similar set fitted in my 328, John, they were already there when I got it, The clutch and brake are simply little brackets fitted over existing pedals with the screws shown. (Both were very loose and I had to tighten up!) The footrest and the accelerator, I'm not quite so sure. There is no obvious way the footrest is attached - I'd guess you simply have to drill four tiny holes in the original - and the accelerator I THINK is the same as the other two pedals, but might have a slightly different bracket to avoid the pedal mechanism? (Sorry my car is such a disgrace, I'll go and hoover it now, lol!) attachicon.gifDSCN7099.JPG

Lol don't be daft there's too many gleaming interiors dotted around here that make us all feel very guilty. Thanks for the advice mate iv'e taken the plunge how hard can it be. :o

  4. Hi John its a fault with a BMW steering wheel covers, give it a good rub down with a piece of scothbrite all over, de grease it, let it dry then a few light coats of matt black aerosol, comes up nice and will last a few years with care.

    Stephen

Thanks Stephen presumably i can do this without removing the cover? As long as i mask everything up.

  5. Hey gang iv'e just noticed the paint around my steering wheel buttons is starting to peel off its nothing major at this stage but will no doubt only get worse. <_<

Iv'e heard of this carbon fibre wrap stuff which looks like a decent fix?? What i would like to know is how tricky is it to remove the cover (pic below) im not a complete dimwit but always get a little nervous with this kind of thing. If there is an alternative solution ie some sort of paint im all ears I assumed the wrap would be a little more solid a fix long term.

I'm in the process of picking up my car (above) it comes with tinted rear windows very nice and all that but can anyone tell me if this is a manufacturer extra that comes with this model? My insurance company requires the information.

    Many thanks in advance.
