  1. Hello We want to transport one/two push bikes around, but NOT with a roof mounted system. My first thought was one of those carriers that mounts on to a tow bar, so the first job was to price up having a tow bar fitted. An absolute minefield - tow bar "specialists" disagreed about whether a tow bar could be fitted to this model, so I approached a BMW mini dealer who said they could certainly fit one but the sting in the tail was the price at £800 + labour, and they never got back to me to advise how much the labour content would be. This is OTT money, so I'm now on the trail of a rear door mounted carrier which can be easily fitted/removed and which doesn't damage paintwork on the door edges. Anybody got any advice or experience of this type of kit ?? By the way the rear roof spoiler on our Mini does not have slots in it through which straps can be fed. Thanks Tony
