  2. I'd err towards using scotchbrite pads or something similar. We used to use it to give a brushed effect to aluminium strips where I used to work
  3. Cheers guys. I'll get some pics up as soon as I've detailed and polished her, and sorted out the blowy exhaust I heard tonight :/
  4. Cheers Steve. From what I've seen on eBay, the rear seats definitely look different in the saloon, they have head rests on for a start, not sure about fitment though. Door and side panels are obviously different on the saloons and tourers too. Not sure on front seats though, but I'd wana change all of them. Not sure if its worth just taking a punt on the saloon leathers?
  5. I just lost my BMW virginity in Northants, not too far from Jalopyjoe.
  6. Hi guys, just a bit of advice needed. I've just picked up an E36 coupe and the grey cloth interior looks a bit boring. I want some leather in there, I was just wondering if there are any differences between seat sizes and door cards etc in different 3 door models, for example Coupe, Compact and the Vert? Or is it a 'one size fits all' scenario? Appreciate any help people :)
  7. Hi Guys, Just picked up my first beemer tonight, a 95 E36 316 coupe. It's not much, but for my budget it was up against a 99 astra, a 206 GTi or a 1995 Audi A4. And the obvious endless list of Fiestas, Mondeos and Corsas. I'm used to pugs, I've had 2 and was looking for a second GTi, so I was a bit apprehensive when I looked at the beemer. I never really thought about having one, it was just pure chance looking at eBay that I saw this one. Anyway, I looked at it, I drove it, it felt really solid for a 20 year old car, so I bought it! My plans over the next few months are to give it a full paint correction, tidy up a loose doorcard, then throw some leather inside it. And replace a missing foglamp.
