  1. The problem with soldering is it makes the repaired wire brittle & the "mend" will not last long. Better to run a fresh wire (about 8-10 inches long) & make your solder connection inside the tailgate & inside the vehicle at the other end, that way the new wire takes all the bending & should last years.

  4. Hi all I have just bought a lovely 318Is coupe 1998, 46,000miles totally original 2 owners from new with FULL main dealer history. I wasn't on the market for another car, but this was too clean & original to pass on, this is my 8th BMW now although the last one I owned was over 13 years ago now. I am really chuffed with my new find & apart from some minor detailing it is almost concours.
