Thanks for putting my mind at ease I am like most people if you see a warning light you think poo that's going to cost me. now I know its a common occurrence I feel better cheers Steve

BMW 330ci E46 coupe When I start the car the red oil warning light goes off almost straight away about twenty seconds later the yellow oil warning light comes on for about 10 seconds then goes off and don't come on again until I stop and start the car again there are no nasty noises its not using/burning oil its running ok etc. It is due an oil service in about 5000 miles time. can anyone give me any ideas what may be causing the light to come on. many thanks Steve
