  1. Sorry to keep the followers of this thread in suspense, the car was back on the road about a week after the last post, but at a cost ! Spoke to the dealership, " any abnormal warranty is up to BMW" spoke to BMW " Any abnormal warranty is up to the dealership " The final bill came to almost £900,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but after all my kicking off they give me 2 options £250 and drive away or £400 with 2 year parts and labour warranty so took the latter, so hopefully we can look forward to putting some miles on it if the sun ever decides to shine!
  2. Just had phone call, new CAS board fitted, IT'S NOT the problem, now looking at replacing the steering column/lock, almost 2 week now!
  3. Yep CAS faulty, needs replacing, anybody else had this problem?
  4. latest update, car been in BMW mini for 24 hours,, intermittent fault, talk of replacing the onboard "cas" whatever that is!! :( :( Anybody had dealings with BMW on abnormal warranty? Can feel a conversation with BMW customer service coming on !
  5. Trying the batt idea, how do u do a EMU/DMU reset, or is that one dealer only?
  6. Hand brake warning light, clock that's about it,and car on ramp in little dial in front of driver "yellow" Fob is working ok, locks unlocks.
  7. Hi all no chance for me to introduce myself before my 2010 Mini one convertible started playin up! It just won't start diagnostic is saying "steering lock inoperable, permanent fault" anybody any ideas please.
  8. Run mini convert on normal tyres with "Ultra Seal" in, used in motor cycle tyres for over 15 years and it does exactly what it says on the tin, stays soluble in the tyre until needed, then seals punctures up to 4mm, and no I'm not a salesman or installer, just somebody that has used it, and rates it, cost, about £5 per wheel to install.
