Hi, thanks. thats a fair point but i am an original freak. dont really want to alter or modify in any way. however if i want to get modern i suppose i will have to consider it. thanks for the post Jon -
Hi everyone, new member. i have a 1999 540i which is pretty much faultless. i have two questions if anyone can help. firstly i have the fitted car phone but its not hands free. is it faulty or can it be modified? Second, the car was supplied new with the TV but not sat nav. is istalling sat nav as simple as sticking the sat nav box in the boot or do i need the new head unit too? is it plug and play. any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance. jon

Hi Jim. Only just got the Mini, for a runabout. The 540 was one owner from new, full history, all Mots and 54k. cost 46k in 1999. Picked it up in march for 2 grand. apart the fuel usage its perfect. Jon
