  1. Thanks for that, im hoping its the tappets. Anyone know a good specialist in the north west who is able to sort out the vanos and other issues?
  2. So last September I did something rather silly and let my heart rule my head and bought a 1998 m3 evo on a whim. Shes beautiful but not without her problems. I knew the vanos was noisy but it got worse and worse and I put her away for winter. Come summer I pulled her out and after charging the battery she started first time and settled down nicely apart from the dreaded vanos noise and also a rattle when you rev her. I have tried to get hold of Mr vanos but to no avail. Anyone know a good vanos specialist and what that noise might be? Im thinking tappets, but then what I know about engines isn't much! Any help would be greatly appreciated Link to sound: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVANGmpCRpA

  4. Hi Just gota call from the garage. Rear ABS sensor is the issue, i had 3 choices, Stealers(i dont think so!) Local Parts company £65 or the ones the garage recomended as they bought of them before a company on ebay. Just gone with tthe Latter £39 next day delivery. Left the car at the garage. Will hopefully be resolved in the mrning with not too much damage to the old wallet!
