hi. i was wondering if anyone can help me. i have a 60 plate 118d coupe sport. it has a business radio, and controls on the steering wheel for phone, however does not actually have the control. i also would like ipod control. i would prefer to stick with bmw equipment but using a bmw garage costs a ridiculous amount of cash. (quoted £1k for ipod and £3k for bluetooth) Is it possible to upgrade it myself, maybe by buying a bmw professional radio and the relevant modules, or is there anywhere that would be able to do it, for much cheaper than BMW. any help would be greatly appreciated. Is it true that bmw's have 200,000 mile warranty on the engine? I heard this from a friend and wondered how true it was.

Ok. I'm going to change them myself as the warranty runs out soon anyway as it is coming up for its first mot. Should I get genuine bmw pads or something else I.e. brembo or Bosch?

Thanks, there are warning lights but I know how to reset them myself. Is it true that bmw engines have 200000 mile warranty on them? If so surely brake pads wouldn't effect that anyhow, it is out of manufacturers warranty soon anyway. Hope all this makes sense.

The title pretty much says it but I have a service light on my dash saying I need to check brake pads, if I did this myself would it effect my warranty in any way? Also whilst I'm here anyone know if there is a cheaper way of getting iPod control without going to bmw and without buying a new stereo? Thanks for any help
