I'm a bit to far away to make it on a school night
Is there anything in the South West or Wales happening soon? is anyone coming to the Tredegar House show on 15th September?

Thanks Mickl2008 and BigAl.
I spent my Saturday G3'ing and polishing it but it's still a bit camera shy, when it's ready I'll post some pics. I'm getttig a bit attached to the damn thing now

Hi, I looked for some advice on cleaning my car earlier and I couldn't find anything on here.
It may sounds straight forward but to me it wasn't! I needed to clean years of wash 'n wax, oxidation and tree grime off the car I've just bought off eBay.
I wasn't sure if G3 was too harsh and there were literally hundreds of products in the motor factors where one of the guys suggested machine polishing it so I looked on line and got even more confused.... in the end I did what my ex-husband used to do, I G3'd it as best I could then polished it and polished it again. I don't have the patience for the clay bar and the paint isn't really good enough for that although I suspect if I put more elbow grease into the G3 the base paint is pretty good.
A detailing and polishing section would be really useful :) -
Take note that the Z3 is REAR wheel drive so you will need to slow down a tad for a while or you might get a shock when you hit a corner and what happens is not what you expect to happen!
Ahhhh,is that why roundabouts suddenly seem a lot wider.,...?

Hello Fiona,
I should be able to assure you that you have indeed made a great decision. I am also keeping an eye out for a Z3 for a good friend of mine.
This should also cheer you up a bit. The engine you chose is spot on! The reason I say that is because the 4 cylinder engine (1.9) is typically undesirable as it is often criticised to not suite the car. The extra 2 cylinders does the Z3 wonders! The one I am after is also a straight six but the 2.8 variant.
Black with Red leather = Yes B)
Hope this helps
Daz
....I agree on the 2.8 - awesome machine but I have to slow down :(

Thanks Daz! I'm really taking to the smoother drive of the straight 6 which is completely different to the daily drive - SEAT ibiza TDi - I think the Z3 might even slow me down a bit......"might" lol.
Thanks all for your encouragement.

Hi G4VHD
It's the 2.0 Straight Six - black with red leather.
I'm quite chuffed with it!
Off to search for a tonneau cover in the Z3 forum.

Hello Everyone,
Well look who just accidentally bought a Z3 on evilBay...it's black with red leather so that helped ease the pain of the impulse buy. I'd be grateful if you could make me feel better and say that's a nice enough spec!
Looking forward to picking your brains and maybe seeing a few of you at events.
Bye!

Hello Everyone :)
Bought a Z3 on a whim on eBay...is there a quick way to check the service history?. I've been listening to a recorded message on the phone for 7 minutes (and counting)....huff.
The only part I need to source for the car is a tonneau cover in black - they're £75 on eBay, any ideas where I can find an aftermarket one a bit cheaper?
Thanks :)
