  1. Yes, I agree, its only a short term solution, but you can also only go about 50 miles on a run flat, also a short term solution, specially if you have nice "boots" like mine. My titanium grey 14 inch alloys would not like a journey on run flats for any milage really. And you cannot plug those either. Flat tires are a drag in any case. Its all about being safe, isn't it.
  2. Yes, I will do, thank you, all we need now is a nice sunny summer Thank you all, went for a nice long drive today, lots of fun indeed
  3. Yes, I agree, I have one of those in my Mini, for longer journeys, there may be the option of an additional "spare" wheel, but its going to eat into your already small "boot" space.
  4. Hi there Karl, Are you referring to a spare wheel? The mini convertible does not come with one, BMW suggests run flat tires, but they are expensive to run, wear out quickly and give only average performance. Check your tyres, if they are run flats, it should say so. If not and you have normal tyres, either invest in a breakdown cover and or buy a tin of tyre weld to keep the Mini mobile. Also, run flats are around £ 140 per tyre and you cannot mix and match either, as someone said this was illegal. Hope this helps Nicky
  5. Hi there Sanj, I can perhaps help you with one of your questions. The xenon washer works if you put the lights on, then use the windscreen washer 3 times, on the third time, the lights should get washed automatically. The little "chrome" half disk in the front by the lights hides the washer unit. It opens and the jet will clean your lights. You can check this by either a friend standing in front of the car, or by the spray hitting your side window or bonnet whilst driving. Hope this helps NIcky
  6. Thank you guys, its nice to be here, specially as I am a bit of a car nut. There are several BMW's that caught my eye, specially the Z's being of a convertible nature as well.
  7. Hi, I am the proud owner of a very lovely Mini Cooper Convertible in Pepper White. My Mini is fun pure and awesome does not even describe it. Driving it is like driving a go cart on steroids. It just grips the road and I have not had so much fun in a long long time. So here I am, a big smile on my face saying hi to all. The sun is out, the top gets dropped and soon I will be off, enjoying this lovely weekend and all it has to offer. If you have not got a Mini in your life, well.....you should get one Take care and drive safe Nicky
