X5 Egr Delete in BMW X5 Series Forum Posted December 16, 2012 hi guys newbie herejust picked up a x5 3.0d sportim not new to bmw's so was very aware of what i was going to get in terms of build etcwhat i wasnt prepared for was the fuel consumptionholy mother does it like a drink, had a range rover td6 few years back so was really expecting it to be better than thati have a E39 M5 so im use to regular pump visits but just feel abit let down by the x5's fuel usagein any case what im looking to get abit more knowledge on is the egr deletei did this years back on a 530d i hadi know the engine is a derivitive of the the M57 which was in the 530dthis being the M57N2 on the x5 with 218bhp , can it support the egr bypass also? has anyone done this on hereant feedback would be much appreciated
