I am looking for a rear diff which has a ratio of 3.91, my Mrs has only had her X5 for 6 months and it went, she is gutted, can find plenty of other ratios but not the one I need. Any help appreciated.

Are these prone to going, my good ladies 54 plate is knocking like mad, jacked up the rear and turnt the wheel and you could see the driveshaft moving up and down, anyone had this before? I am thinking its time for a new diff.

I have heard that, can I just connect a DVD player to it?

I have the Webasto unit under the bonnet, the screen says Aux ventilation, I have set the timer but no warm car in the morning.

I have a 2004 E53, I have a sat Nav screen but it does not show the option for television, is it just a case of buying a tv module and plugging it in?

On my screen i haven't option for TV, does this mean I don't have a TV tuner? If not can I buy one and have it fitted fairly easily?

I think i have worked it out, it has Aux Ventilation not Aux heating, I don't have remotes, will I need them or will it just work from timer? I think I will have to go to a dealer to see if they can change it to heating.

Last night I set the timer for the Aux heating to come on but it didn't, what have I done wrong? I assumed it would just be a case of setting the time.

No card unfortunately, tried the normal 0000 and 1234 but nothing.

My next question is how do I find the pairing code for the factory Bluetooth? The last owner did have his connected so had no idea.

I finally found someone that actually wanted to sell there car after 3 let downs. I have a question about the Sat Nav TV screen, it doesn't seem to have a TV function, what do I need to getting to work as a Digital TV? What am I looking at in the back, I have the Nav DVD player and the CD multi changer.

Does anyone know how I can replace the bulbs in my puddle lights? How do the bulbs come out?

Can i stay? The reason i ask is that the guy i WAS buying the X5 from has pulled out, had a few excuses so far. So the hunt is still on, my Mrs is very particular with what she wants but i will find one.

Hi, I find myself here after buying an X5 for the Mrs, i have owned many BMW's but tend to join specific model forums, E30zone and E46zone, and stumbled across this forum, after reading the X5 section i decided to join.

Hi, I am new to X5 ownership but have owned all sorts of series of BMW's in the past. I have just brought a 2004 3.0d for the Mrs, i am just wondering what options are available, either set by a dealer or that i can do myself, i.e. Auto locking etc.
