please correct me if i'm wrong but I think that the normal auto's have park, neutral, reverse + go gears.... no tiptronic so that could possibally be the SMG box but not 100%
You are wrong. The picture shows the standard auto gearbox on the e46 - it has PRND, then across the gate it has sport mode, and then from this position it has +/- manual mode. However, this should NOT be confused with the SMG gearbox.
