i have started to get a knocking from o/s front when turning left its not there when turning right, anyone got any ideas what it could be? a shocker maybe?

Hi Guys thanks for all your input on this, i have been back to garage this morning, and the owner said he wasnt sure if oil had been changed but he assumed it had, he left it to a young lad to service my car and took his word that everything had been done correctly, he never checked the lads work at all, so i insisted that they change the oil and filter whilst i was there, so reluctantly they did and i stood next to my car watching, so another garage down the pan no longer will they get my custom, why cant they just do an honest days work and stop trying to rip people off they charge enough without looking for extra

i just had a full service at an independant garage who i have used before with no problems, however this time my engine oil looks thick and black, and i have only driven 30 miles since it was done, i am thinking that the oil was never changed, or do some oils go black very quickly?

my parking sensors dont work properly, when i select reverse i get a single long bleep, then nothing no matter how close to an obstacle, so i am thinking of fitting after market parking aid, has anyone done this, how difficult is it, and where do i get the live feed from ? hope someone can help

my 316i engine surges when cold, ok when warmed up, does anyone know whats causing it to surge? please

anyone an idea of what a garage would charge to replace front pads and disks 316i?

Hi yes the button on the left is supposed to reset the last trip to zero, but on my car it does nothing just solid, the button on the right changes clock thanks for replying

oh yes ive done everything i can think of, save pulling it with pliers, but scared of braking the stem

bmw 316i 2001 my trip distance recorder button wont press in, it seems solid, anyone had this problem or have a solution or any ideas?
