  1. lol, they do take a bit of getting use to but there not that difficult, sadly its somthing you will learn about using when you do mistakes.

ive been doing bodywork for 6 years now and still do some, not very often mind ;)

are your mistakes retrievable? or expensive? still pretty worried bout using one but think one could help me polish in some supaguard i got hold of, plus some knob head backed into the pride and joy yesterday while it was parked and scuffed my bumper, will need to sort this out now!.

  2. wow tbh all seem wear and tear bits, they would need changing at some point so cant complain.

I give up spending crazy money on tyres nowadays, all well and good but for day to day use cheap tyres are just as good cheap michelins would do the same job unles your running it on track days every weekend.

plus you dont mind so much when you do give it some beans because the tyres didn't cost you so much lol

your deffo right greeney, what u got on yours? if yours are holding in this i might follow your lead! and what size are yours? my backs are bigger than the fronts

  3. my mot and service light came on 3 days ago, took it in and was told my service was for pollen filters! said i didnt think i needed em in the snow, but told i had to ave em to keep the book up to date £30.00! plus fitting, then my back pads needed changing plus the wear indicator approx £100 and my mot (which passed)! wahey, told my tyres next, just dont know what i will put on (think ill ditch the runflats)was toying with the idea of vredstein wintrac extremes as they say sticky as hell in ice and snow, plus ok in summer as well, any suggestions greatly appreciated.

  4. why thank you gav :P

megs tech wax indeed does have fillers in, its not exactly a very durable wax though, i do use it but only on 'customers' cars for a quick shine.

if i was you id nip to halfords and get some autoglym super resin polish which also has 'fillers' in. then go over with the wax

id also polish one panel at a time then remove straight away, do the full car , then in this weather i would wax the full car, by the time you have gone round leave it for 10 mins and remove with a fresh microfibre cloth.

should do the trick , although as said, tech wax isnt very durable so most likly wont last long :(

cheerz andy, will give that a go,what if i seal it in with say bmw nano wax or turtle wax ice would this preserve the finish you reckon? if u ever in hull it could be a challenge for you!i will post some pics when ive given it a go.

  5. The roads around me are so icy atm and seeing ad it's my day off it'd have been rude not to take advantage, a quick drive up to the moor and loads of fun after that!!! Was lucky not to get stuck tho!!!

you had to go up to the moor? i just had to open my front door! fun is not what i would call it, and how did you get a quick drive? anything above an idle and im going nowhere!haha lol

  6. Had the phone call from the wife at 10 this morning :-)

All of a sudden I felt to ill to work so had to come home, I feel fine now but its to far to go back in this dangerous weather. ;)

So I've decided im going to take the car back and go for a gentle drive in the BMW, just to make sure everythng is ok......

    GET IN :D

take care Gav, and take a spade!

  7. Stoke had a good drop of snow driving everywhere at no more than 20mph, 15 minute journey to work takes 1 hour 15 mins lol nice weather but ruins my MPG's

I must admit though I did take the missus for a quick spin round the local BnQ car park earlier this evening.....to teach her how to control skidding in a rwd car.....thats my excuse and i'm sticking to it! lol

its ok if you keep it drifting, its when you stop and get bedded in that the pain starts, i almost looked like john cleese the other day, if there had been a branch hanging around i would have been hitting my car with it! haha!

  8. Oh, mate, didnt even have it 48 hours and someone ran into the back of it....

New bumper, rear sill and boot lid by the looks of it, could take a few weeks!!!

that is so unlucky, havent got problems of that potential myself this week , cant get my beemer off the drive, could be a blessing you havent got it, (you might have been tempted to drive it), and you would have to be good at digging if u did haha lol

  9. i reckon it could be part of a household policy or somthing? if u had a giant gouge down the side of your beemer from a bike,u would be pretty racked off i reckon, but see your point from the kids point of view,(think i can remember running into a car as a kid myself!)

  10. on the way home today i ended up with a kamikazi push rod rider in front of me,which was so all over the road that he nearly hit me! t****r.which made me think, if we have to be insured, shouldent them on a push rod be insured for the damage they might cause too? i know this could spark a debate if there are any push bikers or eco warriors out there!
