its an e36, if its a 323 it will be a 2.5l straight six, bmw never made a v6 only v8's, v10's and v12's. its got an m-tech kit fitted which was an optional extra when new. hope that sheds so light on the matter.

had that problem but it started where the window would go up and then go back down on its own with both windows on my 318is. fitted motors which i had of e-bay, cost £35 each and havent had any problem since
