  2. No I cant smell petrol, had a proper look around the engine today and I can hear some sort of sucking noise coming from the inlet manifold area? Anymore ideas?
  3. yeah tell me about it, i got issues with loss of power and fuel consumption now, ive got a feeling from google that its a fueling problem, gonna get the seats up tomorrow and check the pump, work my way through everything then, unless anybody else has an idea?
  4. the motor was still powering the passenger side wiper, just not the drivers side, turns out was an easy fix though, loose bolt holding the drivers side wiper onto the linkage, tightened the bolt, wipers fixed, means im a very happy boy!!
  5. from what i understand from perusing the interweb there is 1 motor which powers both wipers, fingers crossed its just the linkeage
  6. well i was just driving down the m4, in the rain obviously and my drivers side windscreen wiper just stopped dead in the down position, luckily i was close to home so managed to "wing" it the rest of the way, any ideas what could be the problem, im hoping its just a loose connection or something going to the motor, cant afford an expensive fix
  7. not a lot of help there really Gav lmfao
  8. yeah im with you eastryjeep, those questions are definately loaded, if the mrs ever saw it i would be dead, for that reason im not answering lol
  9. always run rca's from the head unit to the amp for your bass box/subwoofer, if you splice into your cd changer cables your just gonna have problems, and to save a little moeny it is possible to connect a subwoofer to the standard e39 business head unit, i know this because i have done it myself, only costs a pound or so for a speaker cable - rca converter, you then just splice into the cables for 2 of the speakers and hey presto, rca output from the standard head unit, i believe the required part is available from maplins aswell, hope it helps, drop me a line if you need help/advice with getting it working Rhys
