Thanks for the welcome Chris, Only reason I asked is because I found a website that someone had bought a cradle for the e53 and took the iphone 3gs but they had very carefully scribbed away at the casing to take the 4. I couldnt find anywhere on this site which said where he had got the part from, he had a pick of the part, just no link or reference to where he got it. Kinda stumped.

Hello all, Im new to bmw and going to be asking some silly question from now on. First of all i was wondering if any one could poiint me in the right direction to find a place where I can buy a new iphone snap adaptor for the E53? as all i can seem to find is the E70. Also our car has a bluetooth button on. This is new to me. Can someone explain this function to me please. Looking forward to hearing from you all. Thankyou in advance for any help. Ryan.

Thanks for replys guys. I had the unit out unplugged, cleaned and re inserted but to my dissapointment.........nothing. How do i update the software? Not had to do all this before? Cheers Ryan.

Hey thanks for the warm welcome. I have a list longer than my arm so im not going tho put them all out there at once. I do have one immediate question. The sat nav screen at the front. Are they coded as mine is faulty. The selection button only goes up and down by one and doesnt scroll through the menu. Can I buy another and just 'plug and play'? Cheers Ryan.

Hello there people. Im brand spankin new to bmw. I have always had jap cars evo's and scoobs. Never liked bmw's at all but have to say that my first impressions are quite good. We have got a x5 4.6 is. It has alot of goodies of which im not used to but liking it nine the less. The reason we got this motor is because we have a third child on the way and need extra space. To be honest i think we have got a bit of a pig of a car and needs some attention it doe have some annoying problems but this was due to me putting alot of trust into the person who we got it off. Sa no more. Oh well thank for listening and no doubt i will be asking a few of you about some future info..............
