  1. Lok forward to seeing the updates
  2. Unfortunately, I'm subjected to the Spur Road for my daily commute to Bournemouth but also ride a motorbike to jump the horrendous queues 🙂
  3. Adsh I assume when you mean Dorset was a nightmare....you mean the Spur Road congestion? Absolute nightmare trying to get anywhere nowadays!
  4. Wow!!!! That's amazing! what an awesome look....must have been a joy to build. High mileage on the bigger Bimmer engines (petrol or diesel) is not really an issue if it is the right sort of miles (which if it is high for the age then suggests its motorway miles which is the right sort). I think mileage tends to put most people off what is essentially a decent car that has been looked after and driven correctly as it affects resale values, but then are you buying it as a keeper or to sell within a few years and not lose too much money. Good luck with your search
  5. Hi Martin....welcome to the Club Post up a piccy of the new Bimmer if you like Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  6. Hi Colin....welcome to the Club From 2004 onwards it states that the blanking plugs are 32mm Here's a link to a company that sells them: https://www.pmwltd.co.uk/collections/vendors?q=BMW+Parts Let us know how you get on with it all. Cheers, Trevor
  7. Hi Trigger...welcome to the Club Rolling back is an issue as far as I am concern, especially with a stop/start equipped vehicle or with an electric handbrake. It depends on how many revs on tickover as to whether the transmission is loaded enough to stop the creeping, otherwise it may just need a software update to change the settings. Let us know how you get on with this issue. Cheers, Trevor
  8. Plenty of work to keep you busy today then! Let us know how it all goes
  9. Hi Graham.....welcome to the Forums You have a Karmann Ghia? what a superb car! There's plenty of choice out there and for the money I would certainly consider a later car with higher miles as Bimmers tend to go on forever once they achieve the higher miles...generally all the issues have been resolved over the years, as long as it has been maintained correctly. Depends also whether you want Petrol or Diesel and that depends on your regular journeys as I'm sure you want a bigger car (e.g. tourer/estate) and this usually comes with a bigger engine so I would bear this in mind when looking for your new family car. Let us know how you get on with choosing a Bimmer. Cheers, Trevor
