Go for a CTEK. Really good bit of kit. The 3.6 model should do the the job, the 5.0 is slightly better if you want to try and bring an old battery back to life. -

I've heard of other people running this without problems. I know BMW don't recommend it but they wouldn't recommend a lot of things so that's not necessarily anything to go by. I have heard bio diesel can vary in quality though though so you need to be careful as badly made stuff can cause problems.

We give away the stickers when you take out supporter membership here: http://www.bmwownersclub.com/forums/store/product/2-bmw-supporters-group/ The stickers are external but should be fine on windows :)
