Hi, I am new to this site and would like some help and advice which I feel sure you will be able to provide. I have an original 1983 E30 318 n/a which was fitted with a 4 speed gearbox as standard at the time of manufacture. I would like to remove this and upgrade and install a 5 speed gearbox to the car. (1) is this possible and (2) with which gearbox (3) will a later gearbox from and 88 to 94 318i model fit and if not what do I need to fit additionally to make this happen? Any help or advice would be very welcome. Thanks, James.
