  1. Its not as bad as i had pictured then. I no BMW"s are reliable cars and most run forever but i thought itd be best if i joined a forum and asked the people who no what there talking about lol. Me being the same as most people, would be a little bit skepticle of buying a higher milage motor. I suppose apart from the under car bushes the X5 is the same as any other high milage car... check that it has a full service history and that everything is up to date and service it regularlly???
  2. Cheers dabsy, nice one from you and everyone else for the kind words
  3. cheers val, there not mine either but hopefully someone will bring me upto speed lol
  4. Hello to everyone im matt1585 and im from nottingham and a total bmw noob lol. i found this site through google as i wanted a honest bmw forum with members that will help and advise me with questions and queries however ugly the truth maybe lol. also a forum that could give me a hand with the things to look out for/things that can go wrong with bmx X5s. ive never owned a bmw yet so dont no if there are any common faults etc. ive posted a question and any help will be much appreciated. cheers matt
  5. Hello to everyone on the forum. Im matt and im new to BMWs. Im looking to buy a used X5 but can only afford to buy one with 80-100,000+ miles. ive read the other posts on x5 buying dos and donts and the only thing i can find that helps me so far is the posts about keeping an eye out for under car bushes and servicing a high milage X5 regularly. Like i said im new to BMWs (never owned one before)and i find it hard to belive they will be the only problems. Dont get me wrong im not trying to be a pain in the !Removed! but like i said earlier im totally new to BMWs and no nothing about them so id just like to no EVERYTHING that could possibly go wrong with a 80-100,000k+ X5 as ive not got the money to buy a new car if the X5 decides its had enough of living lol. Thank you all for your time and i hope to have my mind put at rest soon ha ha cheers Matt
