Can anyone tell me if remote start is part of the standard set up on an e39 diesel as people keep telling my that my car should have it but i dont know?

I have recently fitted a tow bar to my 525d and was pleasantly surprised, i have previously towed my twin axle caravan with a Navara but the car is more than up to the job.
