  1. Thanks for the reply Dave. First of all, I have a 2006 X5 4.4 I. The car was not overheating, but when I turned the car on the temperature gauge went all the way up to max and that’s before the engine even started. I removed the bottom sensor and I yanked it out. It did not come easily. I tried to replace it, but it would not stay. I’ll buy another one and see how it goes. Thanks again.
  2. Hey guys excuse my ignorance. I was attempting to replace the engine temperature sensor after my SUV showed max temperature when just turning on. I have trouble restarting as well . In my zeal, I removed the wrong sensor and can’t replace it . Can someone tell me what this piece with the sensor attached and I can just replace the sensor or if I need to replace the whole metal piece? Thanks in advance. Iyahsu
