  1. No Progress , connecting phone to car with USB C to C cable allows "android phone" to show in display. Even with Apple Car Play off no attempt to load any apps from phone. Suggests that BMW apps on phone may be connected but that is not what I am interested in. Connects with bluetooth for calls etc but that is basic stuff. Guess I am going to have to shell out for for a wireless android converter if I can find one
  2. X1 purchased last year has Carplay factory fitted but as a long time Samsung user I would like to take advantage of my Google Maps and data package which gives me realtime traffic guidance. I looked at serveral usb adapters but see "not compatible with BMW" on some - does any one have experience of using android/samsung with carplay ? And how do I know if I have wireless or wired carplay as i don't have an iphone. I have connected my samsung via cable to the car and it registers a android device but it seems to only offers to show BMW apps that I have on my phone. Thanks Mike
