Hello Dave, Thank you for your reply! Yes this is what I am being told, its just too difficult to work on, so Ive been sent away from a few places, one actually being a BMW specialist. They thought at first it was the rocker cover and this is when it was just a tiny leak, however after it was at BMW Irvine for a service the leak seemed to become worse and its now pretty leaky. That's the frustrating thing, its probably something easily fixed but I just cant get anyone to work on it 🤯 Thank you for the advice, I'll keep looking but failing that I was hoping an enthusiastic like yourself might fancy a project and try to salvage this lovely car 🤞

Hi, looking for advice. I have a 2013 x6 40d with a now pretty bad oil leak. No mechanic I have asked will even look at due to the engine being notoriously problematic apparently. So its now sitting rotting in my drive sadly. Does anyone know of anyone who would have a look at this in the Ayrshire area of Scotland??
