Hi Dave, I had a suspicion it would be you replying to this topic as I saw your name on similar posts! Thanks for the explanation of the potential for damage , must admit that while driving on the flat tyre, especially at low speed I could year complaints from the transmission! I will get the fronts changed to the same type shortly. I have ordered a spare wheel and tyre from what I assume is a breaker in Coventry - not enough tread but hopefully enough to get us home. Also a jack and wheel brace. Will let you know how I get on. I had heard about the goo but thought I heard that tyre fitters thought it a nuisance?

Hi All, sorry if this is not the right place to put this but I am new here!' I have an X3 which used to have all runflats on it. We went on a trip and had a flat tyre, off-side rear. The car said we could drive on at 50, which we did, and we got home safely. Then I tried to find some replacement tyres - no-one could find runflats so I was offered standard tyres of the correct profile. Had to replace both on the rear axle and will probably replace the fronts in due course. I now have the problem in that if I get a flat in one of the new tyres, I have no spare, no jack, no wheel brace and nowhere to put the spare anyway. Does anyone have a solution to this dilemma? Thanks.
