  1. Yes, they have to be coded to the car but I’m going to get this one checked first as it may have just been badly seated and loose
  2. Just managed to get injector 5 out as it was stuck fast and I didn’t have a pull, now it’s out I’ve found this which I’m guessing is going to be my problem. A very badly seated injector
  3. Diagnostic scan shows nothing, I’ve unplugged the injectors one by one but the noise remains. I had the injectors tested and all seemed fine but I know they can suddenly fail. I’m thinking it might be a stuck or broken follower, so I’m going to take the cover off and have a check. Do these suffer from oil galleries getting blocked
  4. Hi all, I’m new to the group. I have a 2009 X5 3.0d m57 with a loud knocking noise from the top end of the engine and white/grey smoke from the exhaust. I have tried unplugging the injectors one by one but the noise remains, it seems to becoming from the top front of the motor. Any suggestions would be welcome E9D0EEE9-C0EF-4D8E-B95C-8662D2EABF30.MOV
  5. Thank you for accepting me into the group. I have been a BMW for a number of years, mainly X3’s and X5’s so do know a bit about them, so I may be of use for minor things
